This experiment is really neat. Once I get done what I am obligated to do each day, I then dive into whatever interests me.
Like most entrepreneurs, my mind jumps around like a drop of water on a hot griddle. Instead of fighting that tendency, I am just going with the flow. As a result, the floor of my office is covered with piles of things I have discovered during the day that interest me.
Every day or two, I ‘organize’ the piles by subject, direction or interest. My thought is that eventually a strong preference will begin to make itself evident.
Right now, I am investigating writing blogs as an income source, trapping newsletter subscribers and setting up a weekly newsletter, creating a blog that focuses on all my hobbies and offers with the same interests useful information, etc. I have downloaded a test copy of Illustrator, because I have always been frustrated by the limitations of Photoshop.
I’m also delving into the workings of my lovely camera when a few free moments present themselves.
Tonight, I am going to a ‘Moth’ group – a storytelling phenomenon that has been sweeping the country of late.
All in all, I am not doing much that friends who’ve known me for a while would expect.
