Learning Photography in Paradise

My ten day workshop on photography in Varenna, Italy, overlooking beautiful Lake Como, is about halfway complete. I’ve learned so much already and there is so much ahead of us. Last year I felt my photography skills had improved a good deal, but in fact before this trip I knew very little about my camera. [...]

Wow, a second of my photos has been published.

I was contacted a few weeks ago by Schmap Atlanta regarding using a photo I took of the Chihuly fountain at the Atlanta Botanical Garden. I thought it was flattering but didn’t expect it to go anywhere.  However, it has been published and can be seen at the following link on iPhone – http://www.schmap.com/?m=iphone#uid=atlanta&sid=toppicks_attractions&p=16179&i=16179_238.  Cool!

Positivity

It ain't easy, but you can do it. Check out the my link to the positivity website. The site was posted by Barbara Frederickson, Kenan Distinguished Professor of Psychology and principal investigator of the Positive Emotions and Psychophysiology Laboratory (a.k.a. PEP Lab) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her research reveals how positive emotions, fleeting as they are, can tip the scales toward a life of flourishing. Ms. Frederickson's book points out that your level of positivity greatly influences your life.
